Atomic Anxiety: 100 Most Read Movie Reactions Through June 10, 2014

Atomic Anxiety Logo Spotlight 2

Below is the list of the 100 Most Read Movie Reactions at Atomic Anxiety since its inception in May 2010. You can always find this list over on the right hand column of this website. The list does not update automatically, but once a month or so I go ahead and re-order the list. I thought it might be fun to post intermediate updates as their own post just so people can see what’s going on. Obviously, when you’ve been posting reviews for four years, the older posts have a bit of an advantage, so for those curious as to what’s been popular in the past month, the top 10 visited reviews (with current Top 100 rank in parenthesis) are:

1. Spider-Man 3 (1)
2. Avengers: The Black Widow Reaction (4)
3. R.I.P.D. (45)
4. Avengers: The Hawkeye Reaction (2)
5. High Noon (17)
6. Avengers: The Captain America Reaction (9)
7. X-Men: Days of Future Past (Not Ranked)
8. Maleficent (Not Ranked)
9. Godzilla (Not Ranked)
10. Captain America: The Winter Soldier (99)

A few notes: Unsurprisingly, the list is dominated by Spider-Man 3, the Avengers Reactions, and 2014 movies (despite only being uploaded the other day, EDGE OF TOMORROW was 11th). It’s always nice, though, when an unexpected movie review starts doing well, and that’s the case for R.I.P.D. I don’t know why people are coming here for their R.I.P.D. fix, but I’m glad they are; not only do I appreciate all the visits, I liked R.I.P.D. more than almost everyone and I’m always happy to talk about a movie I like that’s been overlooked or avoided. I’m not trying to get anyone to see or not see a movie based on my reaction to it, but if my explanation as to why I like a movie gets you to check it out, that’s not a bad thing, either.

On the Big Board, the top 25 all remain largely unchanged, though the Black Widow and Captain America Reactions have gotten a boost from the recent release of THE WINTER SOLDIER and jumped up a couple spots.

Deeper in the chart, a few of the bigger movers this time were This is The End (31), Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (38), Transformers: Dark of the Moon (53), and Smiley Face (68), which jumped up around 10 spots apiece.

The big winner for this update, however, was Attack of the 50 Foot Cheerleader (49), which jumped around 25 spots.

There were three new entries: Diamonds are Forever (91), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (99), and The Watch (100). Diamonds has bounced in and out of the Top 100 for well over a year now, but this is the first time for either of the latter two films to make an appearance.

Without further babbling, here’s the full list:
