Here’s the latest DOCTOR WHO, Season 7 trailer, straight from the BBC. It’s a first-half trailer only, so no signs of the new Companion, but those of you looking for a certain actor from SHERLOCK to make an appearance will be happy.
So long as that actor was Inspector Lastrade.
Still, it’s a pretty awesome trailer in the sense that it shows a bunch of random scenes with decent lines from all three leads:
Rory: “So … how much trouble are we in?”
Later, the Doctor: “Dinosaurs … on a spaceship!”
And Amy even gets in two good lines: “So this is what happens when you travel alone?” and “Scared? Who’s scared? Geronimo.”
There’s Daleks and strange robots with cool voices and River Song and an ice planet and Inspector Lastrade cosplaying as Alan Quatermain and New York City. Can’t wait.
But then, you knew that, didn’t you?
That line from Amy about travelling alone? It looks like its a response to a Doctor monologue about what happens when he shows mercy.
It’s not the first time anyone’s called him on that either. Donna Noble did it at the end of the Christmas Special when she’d known him a few hours – which in my mind would make her the greatest companion ever if it wasn’t for the existence of Sarah Jane Smith. Actually there are many reasons why Donna could be the greatest companion ever but that’s the main one.
And of course in Waters of Mars, someone else did it by killing themselves. Which is completely awesome in a different way
